Medical Student Performance Evaluation

The MSPE is a required portion of all residency applications. The MSPE, or as it is sometimes referred to, the “Dean’s Letter”, is best thought of as a report card of a student’s performance throughout their time at OUHCOM. The information included on the MSPE follows AAMC guidelines provided to all medical schools. Your MSPE includes identifying information, noteworthy characteristics, academic history (i.e., leaves of absence, extensions in your medical education, course remediations, professionalism notations), preclinical curriculum information, clinical rotation performance, and a summary of select medical school activities. OUHCOM specific information and formatting is subject to change by the discretion of your campus deans.
