Classical Literature. Archaeology. Religious Studies. Greek. Latin.

The Classics & Religious Studies Department offers courses in Greek (GK), Latin (LAT), classical archaeology (CLAR), classical culture and literature (CLAS), and classics and religious studies (CARS). Although there is no specific major in archaeology or classical culture and literature, the classical civilization major offers the opportunity to concentrate in either area. The religious studies major also offers a wide choice of coursework on which to build an individual course of study.

The B.A. degree offered through Classics comprises two tracks, reflecting the range of interests in the field, classical languages and classical civilization. Each track requires a different balance of study in courses in the Greek and Latin languages and courses in classical civilization.

The B.A. degree with a major in religious studies incorporates several distinct emphasis areas, reflecting the modern range of interest in the field.
