Sage is a major academic publisher as well as a key partner of many libraries. The program provides access to academic materials such as books, journals and videos on top of digital research resources. University Libraries has purchased and subscribed to a variety of Sage products over the years and now will be incorporating Sage Skills, which is an interactive resource to help users learn and develop valuable academic skills to foster success.
A benefit of Sage Skills is its utilization of multimedia, including videos, example scenarios, quizzes and worksheets. The learning tools pair with written materials that can be self-paced and self-navigated. Sage Skills has two main modules of Business Skills, focusing on professional skills for the workplace, and Student Success, aiming at personal research and study skills for students鈥攅specially those new to the university experience.
Seth Sisler, head of Acquisitions & Collections Services, wrote that Sage Skills will give the OHIO community a set of versatile tools for essential expertise like communication, critical thinking and managing well-being.
