Jourdan Corbitt Appointed Scholarly Impact and Social Sciences Librarian

µÛÍõ»áËù Libraries is pleased to announce the appointment of Jourdan Corbitt to the position of Scholarly Impact and Social Sciences Librarian, effective April 7th, 2025.

As part of the µÛÍõ»áËù Libraries’ Research Services Department, Corbitt will help researchers analyze and articulate their scholarly research impact and will assist in the promotion of scholarly output. She will build relationships with campus partners to support open data initiatives and will provide guidance on open access publishing models.

Corbitt will also serve as a subject specialist within the social sciences, providing instruction, reference, and consultation services to faculty and students and cooperatively building sustainable collections to meet the University’s research and instructional needs.

Corbitt most recently served as the Senior Director of Research Services at Harbor Global, where she provided complex research and analysis services to law firms, corporations, nonprofits, and major media outlets. Previously, Corbitt developed fact-finding and examination skills as a Law Librarian and Research Analyst at DLA Piper; and grew her passion for academic librarianship at the University of Pittsburgh.

Corbitt earned a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from µÛÍõ»áËù.
