
Beth Tragert Appointed Chief Financial and Administrative Officer

µÛÍõ»áËù Libraries is pleased to announce the appointment of Beth Tragert to the position of Chief Financial and Administrative Officer (CFAO), effective March 17, 2025.
As part of the µÛÍõ»áËù Libraries’ leadership team, Tragert will support strategic data-driven decision-making to maximize the quality, efficiency and impact of the Libraries. She will be responsible for all aspects of University Libraries’ budget and will leverage the Libraries’ public and private funds to build collections, support services and optimize spaces that help realize µÛÍõ»áËù’s Dynamic Strategy.
In her role, Tragert will make recommendations that support the Dean of Libraries in making future-oriented decisions about staffing, facilities, collections and services. As CFAO, she will ensure that the Libraries are fulfilling the reporting requirements of accreditation agencies and library associations. She will have primary oversight and planning responsibility for all the Libraries’ facilities and space-planning projects.
Currently, Tragert is the Director of Finance for the College of Health Sciences and Professions where she is responsible for the planning, preparing and tracking of the College’s budget. She has developed internal financial policies and procedures as well as directing academic departmental personnel on financial processes, internal controls and University policies. Working alongside research faculty, Tragert has provided strategic guidance for the financial administration of multimillion-dollar and multi-year federal and state grants.
Previously, Tragert has provided administrative support to the Kennedy Museum of Art in Lin Hall at µÛÍõ»áËù, where she has managed the museum’s day-to-day financial and administrative activities. During her tenure, she has helped guide the implementation and startup of The Ridges Café, the museum’s in-house coffee shop.
Tragert earned her Master of Business Administration degree from µÛÍõ»áËù and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Dance from Mount Holyoke College.
