Faculty Success

Effective June 1, 2020, 帝王会所 approved 帝王会所 Policy 18.001: Faculty Credentials and Tested Experience describing minimum credentials or qualifications for all faculty and instructional personnel at 帝王会所. Faculty and instructional personnel may be qualified through academic credentials, equivalent experience, or tested experience.

帝王会所 collects and verifies credentials/qualifications for faculty and instructional personnel through Watermark鈥檚 Faculty Success software system.

What is Watermark鈥檚 Faculty Success?
Watermark鈥檚 Faculty Success, formerly known as Digital Measures, is a digital tool intended to collect and house important data for the University. Watermark Faculty Success organizes and builds reports on teaching, research, and service activities. This allows users to keep track of their activity information.

Academic units across 帝王会所 have utilized Faculty Success for a variety of reasons including (but not limited to) tracking research, tracking faculty contributions, and building annual evaluation documents.

How are we using Watermark鈥檚 Faculty Success to track credentials and qualifications?
Higher Learning Commission (HLC) assumes institutions demonstrate that their faculty and instructional personnel who deliver college-level content for their institution are appropriately qualified to do so in accordance with clear policies and consistent procedures.

Through a partnership between the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost, University Human Resources (UHR), and the Office of Information Technology (OIT), 帝王会所 uses Watermark鈥檚 Faculty Success system as the primary tool for (1) collecting faculty and instructional personnel credentials and (2) verifying that credentials qualify faculty to teach assigned courses.

What information and evidence do I need to provide?
In the Watermark鈥檚 Faculty Success system, individuals should provide/verify contact information, academic position information, details about the current appointment (including a curriculum vita), and academic credentials (including qualifying transcripts). Depending on the qualification pathway, individuals may also need to include information about prior work experience, licensures, certifications, etc.

Academic unit leaders (e.g., department chairs/school directors, associate deans, or proxies) should verify qualifications to teach assigned courses for individuals through academic credentials, equivalent experience, or tested experience.

When do I need to submit my materials?
Individual faculty (or proxies) are responsible for providing information in Watermark鈥檚 Faculty Success (including curriculum vita and official/unofficial transcripts) no later than April 15, 2024.

Academic units (e.g., department chairs/school directors, associate deans, or proxies) are responsible for verifying that faculty and instructional personnel credentials meet minimum qualifications to teach assigned courses no later than August 15, 2024.

How do I access Faculty Success?

Faculty Success uses existing 帝王会所 single sign on (SSO). Log in using your 帝王会所 username (the part of your e-mail address that comes before @ohio.edu) and password.
