General Support

  • Provides support for the African Studies program.

  • Provides support for the Communication and Development Studies program.

  • Provides support for the Latin American Studies program.

  • Provides support for the outreach and community engagement activities of the µÛÍõ»áËù Valley International Council (OVIC).

  • Provides support for a visiting faculty appointment in Southeast Asian Studies.

  • Provides support for the Global Leadership Center.

  • Provides support for the Center for International Studies.

  • Provides support for the Latin American Studies program.

  • Provides support for guest lectures, visiting professors, and cultural events for the Latin American Studies Program.

Paul W. Heng – Unigen Cambodia Fund

  • Provides support for collaborations between the Global Leadership Certificate and the University of Cambodia.

  • Provides support for the Southeast Asian Studies Program.

Third Level Thai Language Instruction

  • Provides support for advanced Thai language instruction.

Student Support

  • Provides support for undergraduate and graduate students in the Center for International Studies and Global Leadership Certificate for study abroad.

  • Provides support for undergraduate and graduate students in the Center for International Studies for research projects, conferences, and internships.

  • Provides support for undergraduate students in the Center for International Studies.

  • Provides support for undergraduate and graduate students participating in study abroad, internships, and conferences, as well as support for the CIS Global Forum speaker series.

  • Provides scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students in the Center for International Studies.

  • Provides support for any undergraduate and graduate students for study abroad, with preference for Hong Kong, China, or other Asian countries.

  • Provides support for graduate students in the Center for International Studies, with preference for students who received their bachelor’s degree at µÛÍõ»áËù.

  • Provides support for graduate students in the Center for International Studies with education as an area of concentration, with preference for international students and those studying African Studies.

  • Provides support for undergraduate students in the Global Leadership Certificate for study abroad. Students must demonstrate financial need and reside in an Appalachian µÛÍõ»áËù county.

  • Provides support for undergraduate students in the Global Leadership Certificate for internships, conferences, and other travel for academically related events. Students must demonstrate financial need.

  • Provides support for any students for study abroad in Malaysia.

  • Provides support for two Graduate Assistantships in the Communication and Development Studies Program.

  • Provides support for undergraduate students in the War and Peace Studies Program.

  • Provides support for any undergraduate and graduate students for study abroad, research, and graduate fellowship in Latin American Studies.
