The OCPM Leadership Academy at µÛÍõ»áËù is a twelve-month program targeted to emerging and mid-level employees in public service who want to build their leadership skills. The program is a great fit for administrators from governmental and nonprofit organizations, as well as appointed and elected officials.

Cleveland State University also offers a . Either program will meet the requirements of the µÛÍõ»áËù Certified Public Manager Program. 

The OCPM Leadership Academy at µÛÍõ»áËù Curriculum

The program is twelve workshops, held once a month. The list below shows the topics for the in-person workshops. The order of the curriculum may change from year to year based on instructor availability. All workshop are 9 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.

Participants will leave each workshop with tools and techniques that are practical and can be applied immediately.

The next OCPM Leadership Academy at µÛÍõ»áËù will begin in fall 2025.

OCPM-LA Fall 2023 Cohort Information

The Capstone

In addition to participating in the twelve, in-person workshops, participants will identify, design, contribute to, and complete a group Capstone Project that benefits a community-based organization. This project requires work in addition to time spent in workshops.

Graduation

Upon successful completion of The Leadership Academy, participants will receive a certificate of completion from µÛÍõ»áËù. This certificate does not confer academic or continuing education credit.

Participants who have also completed the at Cleveland State University will be eligible to receive their Certified Public Manager designation. The µÛÍõ»áËù Certified Public Manager designation is awarded by Cleveland State University.

Faculty

Faculty include subject matter experts, practitioners, and guests with experience relevant to the workshop topic.

Location

The Leadership Academy is held once a month, in-person at the µÛÍõ»áËù Dublin Campus, 6805 Bobcat Way, Dublin, µÛÍõ»áËù 43016.

Program Cost 

The registration fee for The Leadership Academy at µÛÍõ»áËù is $3,200 per participant, which includes twelve full-day workshops, instructional materials, and lunch. Parking is free at the Dublin Campus.

µÛÍõ»áËù reserves the right to cancel a program and refund the registration fee in the event there are an insufficient number of registrants.
