Admission Requirements
- Undergraduate coursework which includes the study of Information and Telecommunication Systems, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Engineering is strongly recommended.
- Applications with academic backgrounds in Economics, Public Administration, Political Science, or related areas may also be considered when evidence of college level quantitative related coursework is present.
- Undergraduate coursework should include at least one statistics course and one computer programming course.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) earned for all undergraduate or graduate course work.
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Section. The Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) can be substituted for the GRE if taken prior to the application date. The GRE can be waived for established professionals (contact our School for details); however, GRE/GMAT scores are mandatory if an applicant wishes to be considered for graduate or teaching assistantships. financial assistance.
- Students may be asked to provide additional evidence of possessing skills that will let them successfully complete graduate-level coursework required by the MITS program.

You may substitute professional experience for undergraduate courses. To do so, you must have at least three years of professional experience performing tasks or duties covered by the MITS curriculum. You must demonstrate this experience by submitting your resume, which will be reviewed by the MITS Graduate Admission Committee to determine relevance and adequacy.
Conditional Admission
You may receive conditional admission to the MITS program if you
- Lack the requisite coursework or professional experience
- Have an undergraduate GPA lower than 3.0
- Have not taken the GRE or GMAT
Please note that students with conditional acceptance are not eligible for financial aid.
If you meet all the criteria for acceptance except the coursework/professional experience, you may gain conditional admission to the residential MITS program if you agree to complete 14 hours of undergraduate ITS course work, from the following:
- ITS 2140 (Introduction to Information and Telecommunication Systems)
- ITS 2300 (Data Communications)
- ITS 3100 (Internet Applications and Networking Systems)
- ITS 4020 (ITS Strategy)
Completion of these hours with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher will confer full admission status.
If you have substantial professional experience but do not have a 3.0 undergraduate GPA, you may be admitted to the residential MITS program conditionally. Upon completion of the first three courses in the core curriculum (ITS 6000, ITS 6020, and ITS 6250) with a cumulative GPA of 3.0, you will attain full admission status.

The 帝王会所 Graduate College works together with each graduate program to process and review your application. You submit all application materials to the Graduate College, where your materials are gathered together for the academic program. The MITS graduate director will screen applications to determine if the minimum requirements for admission to the program have been met. The final screening is done by the MITS Graduate Admission Committee, which ranks qualified candidates based on academic record, professional experience, GRE/GMAT, recommendations, and in the case of international students, TOEFL scores. The MITS Graduate Admission Committee makes all applicant acceptance (full or conditional) and applicant rejection decisions.

Deadlines
The MITS program only admits students planning to start in the Fall semester
February 15 to be considered for financial assistance and for all international applications.
August 1 for all domestic applications without consideration for financial assistance.
(Currently visa applications from Ghana, Iran and India are taking extra time, please apply as early as possible if you are in these countries)
Note: Starting in the Spring Semester**
