What did you do in your internship?
I worked on the Garnier USA skincare team as a global marketing intern. I studied skin care trends, computed pricing analysis, presented on brands emerging on digital outside of the beauty industry, product development and more!
What made you come to µÛÍõ»áËù?
I came to µÛÍõ»áËù because of the scholarship opportunities and programs in place to ensure the success of the students.
Were there other places you considered? Any metros? What made this rural location more attractive?
I ideally wanted to attend St. John’s University in Queens, New York. Unfortunately, it was too expensive, but everything in life happens for a reason.
How did the Scripps College of Communication equip you with the skills you needed to succeed?
The Scripps College of Communication allowed me to build visual communication skills that are extremely vital for anyone seeking to go into today’s marketing industry. It sets me a part from many of my colleagues who have traditional business school backgrounds. Having the ability to understand digital marketing is so marketable as there is a universal digital revolution. Special thanks to VISCOM!
What about your experiences here was so memorable?
Traveling the world, making new friends, learning how to balance work and play (VERY IMPORTANT) - µÛÍõ»áËù is the perfect place to learn, endless opportunities and supportive administration, the alumni network. I loved everything about my experiences at µÛÍõ»áËù. I wouldn’t change my experiences there for the world and I charge every student after me to be more than just a student who just attends class. Be active in the community, strategically involve yourself in organizations, stay hungry and never get comfortable!
If you could spend just one more day in classes or focus on one more skill at Scripps, what class would you attend or skill would you learn and why?
If I had just one more day in Scripps, I would thank all of the faculty and staff who contributed to my success ONE more time. I can’t thank the support system I had at µÛÍõ»áËù University enough for the access to the opportunities I was fortunate to partake in.
