OGO Need-Based Travel Grant
Program Eligibility
Office of Global Opportunities (OGO) Need-Based Travel Grant can be used for participation on:
- OHIO-Credit Domestic and International programs,
- OHIO Exchange programs, including double degree programs
- Affiliated Provider programs
Programs must occur in one of the following terms:
- Winter Break 24-25
- Spring Semester 2025 (including Spring Break and Spring short-term)
- Summer 2025
- Fall Semester 2025

Student Eligibility
- Must be an undergraduate, degree-seeking OHIO student applying for participation in a study away program for academic credit.
- Must qualify for Pell Grant according to the guidelines determined by the 帝王会所 Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships. All applicants must have a FAFSA on file at the time of application to be considered for an award.
- Must be in good academic and conduct standing.
Students may only receive this award once during their undergraduate career. If a student is awarded, but does not attend their chosen program, they are eligible to reapply for a future term.
Requirements for Award Consideration
All students who submit an application for an OHIO-Credit domestic or international program, an OHIO exchange program, including double degree programs, or an affiliated provider program will be considered for this award; no additional application is required.
The following two things must be true for a student to be considered for the Need-Based Travel Grant:
- FASFA - Applicant must have FASFA on file for current school year to be eligible for this award. Check with the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships if you are unsure if you have a FAFSA on file.
- Submitted Program Application - Applicant must have submitted their program application within the OGO Student Portal.
- Applicants do not need to have been nominated/accepted on their program to be considered for the award. The award will only be disbursed to students who accept and travel on the program.
Please note: Eligibility for the Need-based travel grant does not guarantee a need-based award.
Award Details
Once an application has been submitted in the OGO Student Portal, it will be evaluated first to ensure award criteria has been met (program eligibility, applicant eligibility, and presence of existing application), and then reviewed based on demonstrated financial need, as determined by the applicant鈥檚 FAFSA information on file and current OHIO financial aid package.
Applicants will be notified of their award status within 5 business days.
- Awards are contingent on being accepted to and traveling on the program listed in the application.
- The award will be directly applied to the鈥痵tudent's OHIO鈥痑ccount during the term in which the awardee is scheduled to travel.
- Note: Recipients may only receive this award once during their undergraduate career.
Award amounts are tied to the awardee's program location. Award ranges are as followed:
- Domestic (based in the US): $750
- International (based outside of the US): $1,500
Total awards received from OHIO may not exceed combined program fee and estimated out of pocket costs (cost of attendance).
