APPLYING:
1. Apply online at
2. Pay your application fee.
3. Have your transcript(s) officially sent.
4. Request that your ACT and/or SAT scores be sent, if applicable.
5. Check your status online!
Undergraduate Requirements.
There are two options for undergraduate application and acceptance:
Option 1)
Apply directly to the B.F.A. program of your choice:
Theater Performance - Acting [Major Code BF5048]
Theater Performance - Musical Theater [Major Code BF5049]
Production Design and Technology [Major Code BF5162]
Stage Management [Major Code BF5168]
Playwriting [Major Code BF5158]
In addition to applying to the University, B.F.A. applicants must also complete a successful audition or interview for your degree program of choice.
Option 2)
Apply as General Theater B.A. [Major Code BA5194] candidate which allows broader study and a greater possibility of double majoring. Toward the end of the first year, B.A. students may choose to continue the broader B.A. program or may apply for acceptance into the B.F.A. programs.
Transfer Requirements
If you are a transfer student, an audition or interview is required for admission into any of the B.F.A. programs. Transfer into the B.A. program does not require an audition or interview. Additionally, theater courses taken at other universities must either be pre-qualified by µÛÍõ»áËù’s Transfer Assurance Guide, or be evaluated by the B.F.A. program head and/or the Assistant Director of the School of Theater. If you are unable to attend any of the audition/interview dates listed, please call our office at 740-593-4818 to discuss other arrangements.
