Accessibility Services

Accessibility Services coordinates accommodations and connects students with disabilities to the most relevant campus resources. Accessibility coordinators review documentation and determine eligibility according to the framework of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Learning Management System 

Faculty currently utilize Blackboard to provide course-related content and manage assignment-related materials. It will be phased out over the next few years and replaced by Canvas. Both learning management systems are interactive online tools for posting course-related materials, managing student assignments and grades, and facilitating interactions between students and instructors. Students must have activated their email account and µÛÍõ»áËù ID to access their online course.

Campus Care

, µÛÍõ»áËù's student health center is available to all students enrolled in at least one or more credit hours on the µÛÍõ»áËù Athens Campus, regardless of whether or not they participate in the university insurance plan. Campus Care is located in Hudson Health Center Campus Care includes two programs: Campus Quick Care and Campus Primary Care.

Campus Map and Parking Services

Campus parking services maintain responsibility for allocating parking spaces and permits. For parking area closures, accessible parking information, and a detailed campus and parking map, visit Parking Services.

Counseling and Psychological Services

Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS), provides mental health and adjustment services to students and consultation to faculty, administrators, and parents of students. CPS offers developmental, preventive, and remedial services and programs that promote the intellectual, emotional, cultural, and social development of µÛÍõ»áËù students. CPS is located in Hudson Health Center.

ID Card

All students must obtain an µÛÍõ»áËù ID card. The ID card is required to use many µÛÍõ»áËù facilities and can be obtained/replaced during operating hours at the

Library Resources

Students have access to on-campus and online library resources through Alden Library. µÛÍõ»áËù is a member of providing access to library materials in addition to the Alden Library collections. For specialized assistance, Alden Library has a Counseling and Higher Education subject librarian to support students and faculty in the Patton College of Education.

Office of Information Technology (OIT)

The OU Office of Information Technology is your place to find answers, resources, and support on email, software, change passwords, and wireless network information. , such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, are essential to success at µÛÍõ»áËù. Anyone with an active OHIO email address can access Office 365 in a web browser, and all students and instructors can access the downloadable applications. Please review the OIT website for additional information and resources.

OHIO Email Account

Students’ µÛÍõ»áËù email account () is the primary mode of communication for the program and the university. Students are responsible for checking their accounts regularly for program and official university correspondence and information.

Transcripts

Transcript requests at µÛÍõ»áËù may be made online, in person, or by mail/fax. For more information, please visit the Registrar. The Degree Audit Report System (DARS) can access unofficial transcripts.
 

Writing Commons

The Writing Commons provides free writing assistance to all µÛÍõ»áËù University students. Graduate peer and professional tutors serve undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students working on longer writing projects such as theses, dissertations, journal articles, grants, and conference presentations. These tutors have the experience to help you on your academic path.
