Linda Holmstrand
Linda M. Holmstrand received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. She also received an MPA from Wayne State University and an MS in Community Health from West Virginia University. Ms. Holmstrand has more than twenty years of experience in children/family program evaluation, compliance, and quality improvement, and more than ten years experience implementing and evaluating community health and wellness programs.
She joined µÛÍõ»áËù’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs in 2016. Since that time she has managed, coordinated, and assisted on projects, often working on multiple projects at any given time. Ms. Holmstrand serves as the Coordinator for the µÛÍõ»áËù Children’s Trust Fund’s ten county Eastern Regional Child Abuse and Child Neglect Prevention Council. As the Coordinator, she performs all administrative functions for the Councils and has worked with the Council to complete a regional comprehensive needs assessment and develop a five-year regional child abuse and child neglect prevention plan, and created an RFP process to select vendors to implement parts of the regional plan.
Ms. Holmstrand brings years of experience as a Tobacco Treatment Specialist (TTS) and tobacco prevention coordinator in West Virginia to the Voinovich School’s involvement in the µÛÍõ»áËù Department of Health sponsored Smoke-Free Families Project. In addition to being a TTS, she is a Certified Health Education Specialist, and holds membership in the µÛÍõ»áËù Program Evaluators Group and Society of Health and Physical Educators.
