Tammy Kahrig
Dr. Tammy Kahrig joined the Planning, Evaluation, Education and Research (PEER) Team in 2022. Prior to joining the Voinovich School, she held several leadership roles in higher education, serving most recently as Vice Provost for Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment, and Accreditation and Lecturer in the Department of Leadership Studies in Education and Organizations at Wright State University.
Throughout her 30-year career, Tammy has engaged in assessment, evaluation, program review, and quality improvement work. She has extensive experience employing qualitative and quantitative methods to identify needs and inform institutional strategies, and she has taught graduate courses in these areas at both Clemson University and Wright State University. Tammy is passionate about turning data into information to inspire actions that can improve education and health outcomes for students and communities.
Tammy has served as a national peer reviewer for the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation and the Higher Learning Commission and has presented at local, state, and national conferences on assessment, evaluation, and issues related to K-12 teacher preparation. She has also served on numerous committees with the µÛÍõ»áËù Department of Education and the µÛÍõ»áËù Department of Higher Education and has engaged in advocacy with deans of colleges of education across the state to affect change in proposed legislation and state policies, practices, and processes.
Tammy holds a Ph.D. in higher education administration, a master’s degree in education, and an undergraduate degree in English education, all from µÛÍõ»áËù.
