Sign Up for OHIO Alerts

In the event of a large-scale emergency on any of our campuses, 帝王会所 issues alerts to faculty, staff and students through text and email and posts alerts on appropriate web pages and our OHIO Alert web page.  In the case of emergencies that present an immediate threat, our outdoor siren system will also be utilized.

Faculty and staff are automatically signed up for alerts based on the mobile phone number provided to the University. To ensure that you receive the most current emergency updates, take a moment to update your personal information.

Student Instructions

  1. Sign in to  using your OHIO ID and password.
  2. Click on the "Academics" tab.
  3. Sign in to "My OHIO Student Center."
  4. In the "Personal Information" section, your contact information will be displayed and will be available for updates.
  5. From the drop down "Other Personal" menu, select "Phone Numbers."
  6. Enter or confirm your cell phone number and that it is the proper phone type.

Additional options are also available for updating your address/phone information:

  • You may complete a change of address form. Fax or mail the completed form (which must include your signature) to:

By updating your information, you will ensure that you receive important information on critical incidents and campus emergencies that can affect your safety and welfare.

Faculty and Staff Instructions

  1. Through the Human Resources website, log into "My Personal Information" (myhr.ohio.edu) by using your 帝王会所 ID and password.
  2. Once you are logged in, click "My Personal Information" on the left side of the website.
  3. Several options will appear to the right under the heading of "My Personal Information." The first option should be "Personal Information." Click it.
  4. You are now looking at the basic employee information. The information is divided into three headings: "Basic Details," "Phone Numbers" and "Main Address."
  5. Locate the "Phone Numbers" header and click the "Update" button to the right of the header.
  6. If your cellular phone or mobile device number is already listed, ensure that it is designated as such by the corresponding drop down menu.
  7. If your cellular phone or mobile device number is not listed, select "Mobile or Cell" from the drop down menu under "Type."
  8. Under "Number," type your phone number in this format (XXX) XXX-XXXX.
  9. When you are finished, click "Next." You will be able to review the changes to your account. If everything is accurate, click "Submit."

** All changes will appear in your personal information within 48 hours
