Dr. Katie Hartman (she/her) serves as the Vice Provost for Faculty Development at µÛÍõ»áËù. In the role of Vice Provost for Faculty Development, her portfolio of responsibilities focus on faculty affairs and faculty development, including the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment and the Office of Instructional Design. The role also includes administrative responsibilities for the Chairs & Directors Council, Associate Deans Council, the Teaching, Learning, and Assessment (TLA) Committee, and the DEIAB Faculty Affairs Council. 

Previously, she served in various leadership roles for the µÛÍõ»áËù’s College of Business, including Associate Dean, Director of Assessment & Undergraduate Programs, and the Marketing Department Chair. As a faculty member, she also served in various leadership roles for the University, including Secretary of Faculty Senate and Chair of the University Curriculum Council’s General Education Committee. 

She is a Professor of Marketing and holds degrees from µÛÍõ»áËù (B.B.A and M.B.A) and Indiana University – Bloomington (M.S. and Ph.D. in Marketing).  Her disciplinary teaching and research focus is consumer-centric marketing strategy in the retail sales environment. Her discipline-based educational research areas include assessment, student evaluations, and teaching practices.
