Digital Accessibility
帝王会所 is committed to providing cutting edge information technology that provides our students an accessible and exceptional user experience. OIT is committed to removing technology barriers that sometimes keep people with disabilities from full participation in the digital life of the University.
As it turns out, when we make improvements to our tools for people who use assistive technologies or who experience technology differently, our tools become better for everyone.
What is Digital Accessibility?
Digital Accessibility means that information or communication technology (ICT) can be used by a wide range of people including those with disabilities who also may be using assistive technology.
The U.S. Department of Justice and Department of Education provide a functional definition of accessibility:
A person with a disability can
- Acquire the same information
- Engage in the same interactions and
- Enjoy the same services
In an equally effective, equally integrated manner, and with substantially equivalent ease of use.
