Kathleen Harrington, Reflections
I first visited Japan in April of 1994 right before I became the Associate Director of Special Projects at OPIE. I was traveling with Charlie Mickelson and Barry Emberlin, and they were introducing me to the key contacts for OPIE鈥檚 programs in Japan. One of my favorite stops was the Chubu campus. It was cherry blossom time and the campus was beautiful. We stayed in the guest house, and there was a cherry tree right outside my window. I couldn鈥檛 have had a better introduction to Japan and to Chubu.
I met so many wonderful people that trip including Tadashi Shiozawa , an outstanding professional whom I had the good fortune to work with on the 帝王会所 Chubu Program from 1994-1997. I am so happy to be a part of the 50 year celebration of the relationship between Chubu University and 帝王会所. Although my time was brief, it was an experience I will always treasure.
