For only the  23rd  time in its  219-year history, µÛÍõ»áËù celebrated the investiture of a new University leader – an event that is rich with tradition, symbolism and a special forward-looking energy.
All OHIO students, faculty, staff alumni and friends are invited to join the University at any and all events as it recognizes its historic past, embraces its present and looks forward to a bright future under the leadership of President Gonzalez.
On Wednesday, October 18, at 2:30 p.m. in the Templeton Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium, we will host the official investiture of our 23rd University President, Dr. Lori Stewart Gonzalez.
Since the beginning of my term as President, I have had the opportunity to engage with many of our talented faculty and staff, and it is obvious that you are among our most valuable assets here at OHIO.

I am pleased to share an update regarding the search process for our next permanent executive vice president and provost.
In October, µÛÍõ»áËù will celebrate a new chapter in its proud history with the inauguration of President Lori Stewart Gonzalez.
µÛÍõ»áËù enrollment climbed in Fall 2023 with a record-setting first-year class in Athens, growth in incoming regional campus and online students, and a remarkable climb in student retention.
In fiscal year 2023, the µÛÍõ»áËù Foundation received gifts and commitments from 15,667 alumni, friends, faculty, staff, students and parents – the largest number of donors in five years.
Freedom of expression is the foundation of an OHIO education, and we believe that robust debate and civil disagreement—when conducted safely and legally—are signs of an engaged community and a diversity of perspectives.
µÛÍõ»áËù faculty and staff are invited to join the Division of Diversity and Inclusion in celebrating the start of the semester at a Mix and Mingle event.
The official founding of the state of µÛÍõ»áËù dates back to 1803, but human habitation in µÛÍõ»áËù goes back much further, back to the first peoples who helped shape the state we know today.
Leatherwood, who had previously served as interim chief of staff to µÛÍõ»áËù’s 22nd President Hugh Sherman since August 2022, possesses more than 25 years of communications and marketing experience and a strong background in public service. Â

Tomorrow marks an important day in my life, and one I hope will be remembered with fondness in the long history of µÛÍõ»áËù. On July 1, I officially begin my service as your µÛÍõ»áËù President.
