Bobcat Families,
It was so wonderful to see so many moms and friends here for Moms Weekend. We had incredible turn out at events on campus as well as Uptown for the International Street Fair. If you attended this past weekend, please take a minute to so we can make every Family Weekend even better. I'll see many of you back here in just a few weeks for Commencement!
If you are looking for more ways to stay involved, we recently launched the Bobcat Family Council! We are seeking family representatives of Bobcats鈥攚hether a legal guardian or a cherished loved one鈥攖o join us as members in shaping the future for upcoming Bobcats. As we approach the end of the semester, remind your students of the resources the Academic Achievement Center offers to get ready for finals week, and review FAFSA updates and deadlines if your student is returning next year. Prepare for move out if your student lives on campus, and review ways to reduce waste for students on and off campus.
There are plenty of opportunities to unwind between study sessions and preparing for the end of the semester too. Students can express their creativity during a event, get involved in a community service project during , or explore one of the many right on campus or around the county.
I am so proud of the work our students have accomplished this year, and I am excited for them to finish the semester strong.

We're seeking family members of Bobcats to join our newly formed Bobcat Family Council! As a council member, you'll participate in two dynamic meetings per year, serve as an 帝王会所 ambassador, and share your experiences with fellow parents and family members. Enjoy perks and the opportunity to connect with other Bobcat families along the way! Apply by May 1.
RSVP to attend the Leadership Awards
Every year we celebrate student leadership and the impact Bobcats have on the OHIO community. The 41st Annual Leadership Awards take place next week, on April 17 in the Baker Ballroom. RSVP now to lift up the work of this year's recipients. You can attend in-person or virtually.
Don't dump, donate!
Move out is just around the corner. Whether students live on campus or are renting in Athens, there are plenty of opportunities to donate what they might not bring home or keep for next year. Find out what you can recycle, where you can drop off donations, and what items are best to donate. Over 60,000 pounds of material was recycled or donated last year! Give back to our community and reduce waste this spring.
Complete the FAFSA
Some forms of financial aid are limited due to funding levels. Don鈥檛 limit yourself! Complete the 2024-25
FAFSA by OHIO's extended first-priority date, April 15, 2024. OHIO plans to provide Financial Aid Offers to continuing students by late April. Students who file after April 15 are still considered for the Federal Pell Grant and Federal Direct Loan programs. Check out our FAFSA Issues and Tips, contact our office or stop by 020 Chubb Hall.
Spring Housing Extension
If students need to stay the night of Friday, May 3, due to a university affiliated reason (graduating, working for commencement, working with Culinary, late Friday final), they should request a one-night extension on their by May 3.

Hold that mail
The last recommended date to have mail delivered to campus should be Friday, April 26. Mail and packages delivered via USPS will be forwarded to students' home addresses during the summer.
Refund reminders
If your student will not be returning to OHIO next fall, but are not graduating, they will need to contact housing@ohio.edu by May 15 to cancel the 2024-25 housing contract and request a refund of the $200 prepayment.
Students with a Bobcat Cash balance of $15 or more who are not returning next semester are eligible for a refund.
Calling all graduating seniors
We want to hear what seniors will miss most about Athens and their student experience! Submit answers for a chance to be included in the OHIO Commencement video, to be released on OHIO social media during commencement weekend.
Meet a new counselor
Counseling and Psychological Services is excited to welcome Neena VanCoppenolle. Neena comes from a trauma-informed, strengths-based perspective and focuses on how oppressive systems impact mental health and well-being.
Collegiate Recovery Community
Diversity Leadership Ambassador applications open
Apply for the 2024-25 academic year. Ambassadors will share their personal experiences and facilitate dialogue on cultural differences through presentations and other responsibilities.

Emergency financial support
Emergency Microgrants are available if you are experiencing an unexpected and unavoidable emergency short-term expense. There are still resources for undergraduate students this semester. Learn more about eligibility and how to apply.
Networking opportunity
If you are a student who currently works at The Post or you are interested in doing so in the future, attend the Post Alumni Reunion event on April 13 to network with fellow Bobcats. including a keynote presentation.
Upcoming events
The Athens International Film + Video Festival (AIFVF)
April 8-14
AIFVF presents its 51st edition featuring over 215 films representing more than 50 countries in competition at the Athena Cinema uptown. All screenings and events are free for students, and you can pick up tickets on the day of each screening at the Athena Cinema box office.
OHIO Student Expo
April 11 | 7 a.m-3 p.m.
The 帝王会所 Student Research and Creative Activity Expo is held annually to highlight student research, scholarship and creative works. This event is free and open to the University and community.
