Southern Local School District
Southern Local currently has one afterschool program. The elementary program operates at Millcreek Elementary serving children from kindergarten through sixth grade. This program is funded by a Nina M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant through the 帝王会所 Department of Education. The program now serves over 85 students. In addition to the tutoring and extra help from elementary teachers, students are also receiving a nutritious snack, math and reading intervention, and academic enrichment activities.
Previously, Southern also had an afterschool program at the high school but the funding has since ended. The district and Kids on Campus are continuously working to identify new ways to support afterschool programs for Southern Local High School students.
To find out more about the programs you can contact the main Kids on Campus office or Southern Local Schools in Perry County.
