Teams Educational Sessions
Register to attend one/all of the new lunchtime training exercises designed as table top exercises. Open to offices/departments/units who have begun or are in process of developing a Business Continuity Plan. This is a great opportunity for staff (especially helpful for plan editors and managers) to participate in a group training scenario meant to test and challenge departmental response while in a low stress environment. Group discussion and identification of unit specific action items designed to mitigate potential loss or damages.
Attendance may be limited. To register, email harrisj4@ohio.edu no later than 5:00 p.m. the day prior to the event.

This 1-hour virtual lunch and learn encourages employees and department leaders to rethink, retool, and enhance teamwork in remote settings from a number of perspectives. Participants will be encouraged to think critically and creatively about the impact of remote work on workplace inclusion, the numerous channels for communication, and the unique opportunity to reestablish team dynamics and expectations for the benefit of all employees.

As a business continuity coordinator, we address how to cope with an unexpected loss of technology, the discussion sometimes leads to home networks, computer 鈥渉ackers鈥 and how to better protect both personal and work data from a nefarious attack. As hard as you might try, you might be unknowingly allowing uninvited 鈥済uests鈥 into your home (and onto your network) when our family members are unaware of good security practices. Brooke Denney, Information Security Analyst will present on how basic security principals can apply to our home and family life. Topics covered in this session will include:

Active Threat 2022
This training is designed to encourage and promote discussion about active threat situations and will help participants learn how to be more prepared should an incident occur.鈥 Experts say that training should be refreshed every two years.
