Institute for Sustainable Energy and the Environment
帝王会所鈥檚 Institute for Sustainable Energy and the Environment (ISEE) aims to advance applied research that pioneers innovative process technologies. We focus on the sustainable and economically viable use of both natural and renewable energy resources to produce the fuels, chemicals, and materials essential to modern society.
Our dedicated team of researchers is committed to addressing critical environmental challenges. We develop remediation processes to enhance water and air quality, convert shale gas into valuable fuels and chemicals, repurpose mining wastes into building and critical materials, and recover nutrients from waste resources to bolster agriculture sustainably.
Reimagine Waste. Build Sustainably.
ISEE Research
Over the past decade, ISEE has secured over $25 million in external research funding, fostering a dynamic environment for cutting-edge research and professional development. This funding allows students to hone their skills in state-of-the-art facilities while engaging in innovative projects.
Our research spans several critical areas, including environmental remediation, sustainable materials, and electrochemical systems. These efforts have broad applications in carbon materials, energy storage, wastewater treatment, nutrient recovery, and the production of modular fuels and chemicals.
Aside from exploring our research areas, you can learn more about ISEE's research on the Research and Publications page.
