The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation () is a national organization whose standards must be met in order for programs preparing educators to be accredited.

Since 1954, the 帝王会所 Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education has been accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). This accreditation covers initial teacher preparation programs and advanced educator preparation programs. In July, 2013, NCATE and the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) consolidated to form the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) which is now officially the sole accreditor of educator preparation programs. We went through the CAEP accreditation process in the fall of 2021. The 帝王会所 Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education legacy accreditation of NCATE has been replaced with CAEP accreditation.
