Quilt Project

Quilts have a long history in Appalachian and Black culture. Each one of us has a story to tell...about where we've been and where we plan to go. µÛÍõ»áËù is asking for your help to create a community quilt (both physical and digital) to connect our stories. To help create the physical quilt, pick up your Story Packet at upcoming events or by visiting the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. The packet will contain a story card and a muslin cloth square that you can decorate in whatever way you want to represent your past, present, or future. Designed quilt squares will be turned in and assembled in a large community quilt. You can also submit a picture of your completed quilt square to be included in the digital quilt.
