Camp Ramapo: Camp Counselor

  • Date range: Mid June - Mid August 2024 (9 weeks)
  • Description: Ramapo’s mission is to serve children with a wide range of emotional, behavioral and learning disabilities in a dynamic and stimulating outdoor environment, providing educational and recreational experiences that promote social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth. Are you a hardworking, mature individual with a sincere interest in helping children with special needs? If so, we are looking for conscientious individuals to work as camp counselors and health center staff this summer. Course credit also is available.

Harvard University Judge Baker Children’s Center: Summer Treatment Program

Abercrombie & Fitch: Leadership Development Internship Program

  • Description: The internships provide a select group of junior college students the opportunity to experience working at Abercrombie & Fitch for 10 weeks over the summer before they enter their senior year. The programs are structured to allow interns to take on a great deal of responsibility quickly and gain immediate exposure to senior leadership. Internships in our Leadership Development Program are offered in Merchandising, Inventory Management, Digital Tech, Supply Chain, HR and Finance.

Florida International University Summer Treatment Program (STP) Counselor

Boston University Summer Internship Program

  • Description: During the first six weeks of this 12-week program, participants take two academic summer courses chosen from one of eight tracks, earning 8 credits. For the final six weeks, students undertake professionally relevant internships at Boston-area businesses and organizations. Participants also enroll in a 2-credit Internship Course, which runs through both the academic and internship phases of the program. By the conclusion of the Summer Study Internship Program, students will have earned a total of 10 semester credits– and gained exceptional preparation for their future careers.

Graduate students will work as Lead Counselors in the Summer Treatment Program (STP) for children with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and other related concerns. The program provides treatment tailored to children's individual behavioral and learning difficulties and serves children ages 6-14 years old. Cleveland Clinic’s STP is directed by Hallie Fetterman, Ph.D., BCBA-D, COBA (Clinical Director) & Eric Geyer, LPC (Program Director). In 1993, the STP was named as a Model Program for Service Delivery for Child and Family Mental Health by the Section on Clinical Child Psychology and Division of Child, Youth, and Family Services of the American Psychological Association, as well as the model for the Multi-Site study in ADHD funded by the National Institute for Mental Health and United States Office of Education.
