The Center for Intervention Research in Schools (CIRS) is made up of 帝王会所 faculty, staff and students who are dedicated to improving the lives of children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral problems through school-based interventions and supports. The CIRS team strives to conducts cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research, provides training experiential learning opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students, and offers quality services to children, families and schools.

Dr. Julie Owens accepts the 2024 School Mental Health Research Award

 

 

Congratulations!

 

  • Dr. Julie Owens was selected as the recipient of the 2024 School Mental Health Research Award. This is a national award given to an individual who has made impactful and outstanding contributions to the field of school mental health.
  • Congratulations to Sierra Hightower-Henson and Dr. Wymbs for their recent article on parenting self-esteem. Check out the article here:
  • Congrats to Daniel Vitucci who received Honorable mention and funding for his dissertation from the Society for Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (SCCAP; APA Division 53) Donald Routh Dissertation Grant.
  • Congratulations to Madeline DeShazer (Cincinnati Children鈥檚 Hospital) and Danny Vitucci (Nationwide Children鈥檚 Hospital) who matched for internship.

Upcoming Events

  • CIRS undergraduates and graduate students will present their research at the 帝王会所 Research EXPO on April 8, 2025, at the Walter Fieldhouse.
  • Dr. Eric Youngstrom, , will present to CIRS and the Psychology Department The Golden Thread Connecting Assessment Science, Practice, and the Patient, Friday, March 21 @12:50 in Porter Hall 102.
  • CIRS, in partnership with Nationwide Children鈥檚 Hospital, will host a Summer Workshop on advanced school-based consultation skills for PAX Partners in 帝王会所 in June (2025).
