We are excited to share our beautiful and historic campus with you, so please review the following to ensure you get the most out of your visit.

What to Expect on a Daily Campus Visit

Our daily campus visit lasts approximately 3 hours, including an info session and tours of our campus. While our campus visit won't include all 1,800 acres and 200 buildings, our tours feature key locations, including campus greens, recreation facilities, classroom spaces, residence halls, dining facilities and more. We recommend that you dress comfortably and bring a water bottle. Food is not provided, but several on-campus and local eateries are available. Accessibility accommodations are available upon request. Please select your accommodations upon registration.

Parking

Parking for Scheduled Campus Visits

If you have registered for a campus visit, you will receive specific information on your assigned parking location via email.

Accessible Parking

Accessible parking spots are first come, first served. With a disability placard or license plate and an Undergraduate Admissions parking pass, visitors can park in the closest accessible spot to their designation, even if it is not located within the lot assigned for a specific visit program. Accessible parking spots can also be found in the Baker University Center garage. Our parking map shows all designated accessible parking on campus.

Additional Parking Information

If you are planning to extend your visit, or if you are traveling to campus outside of a scheduled visit, there are many options for parking on OHIO's campus and in the city of Athens. To explore parking all on-campus and off-campus parking options, including accessible spots, review the Athens Campus parking map. Make sure to check out the Parking Services website before coming to campus for the most updated parking information, including lot closures and special-event parking.

  • On-Campus Parking – OHIO's Transportation and Parking Services offers several free and paid Visitor and Departmental Guest Parking options for parking on-campus.
  • Athens City Parking – The Athens City Parking Garage, located on East Washington Street (entrance located between Court Street and College Street) in Uptown Athens, and several streets throughout the city offer metered parking. Many city parking meters have a two-hour limit, except the parking meters above the first floor in the parking garage. Time limits and meter fees are posted on each meter. Payment methods include the parksmarter mobile app or coins.
