Thom Cadley is a TEC Award-winning and Emmy-nominated mixer with an amazing list of credits. He鈥檚 been involved in countless projects ranging from recording for Joan Jett back in the 80鈥檚, to mixing numerous Beyonc茅 and Destiny鈥檚 Child projects, to mixing a live Sting album with a full orchestra. As the chief mixing engineer at the legendary Sony Music Studios in NYC from 1993 to 2007, Thom oversaw the audio for Sessions at West 54th for PBS, VH-1鈥檚 Storytellers and many other live broadcast events. After 9/11, he co-produced and co-mixed The Concert For New York City. Thom has also engineered Broadway cast albums such as Disney鈥檚 The Lion King, as well as numerous film soundtracks such as the Goya Award winning Calle 54 (Spanish Oscar for Best Sound). After Sony closed Thom was one of the primary music mixers for the innovative Rock Band and Guitar Hero video games. Artists as diverse as Johnny Cash, Michael Jackson, Idina Menzel, Bruno Mars, Aerosmith, David Bowie, Lil Nas X and Billy Joel have all utilized Thom鈥檚 skill as an engineer and mixer. Thom paused his mixing career a few years back to get his BS in The Arts from SUNY Empire State College (Summa Cum Laude), and to focus on teaching the next generation of music production professionals. He has served as an instructor in several notable music production and technology programs including Pratt University, Middle Tennessee State University and Dark Horse Institute, Thom continues mixing songs for release in immersive audio formats such as Dolby Atmos.
