Vision Duo (add-on)

Vision Duo
Vision Duo, comprising violinist Ariel Horowitz and percussionist Britton-Ren茅 Collins, performs classical works with a contemporary twist. Through an exploration of musical genres and sonic possibilities for violin and percussion, Vision Duo seeks to contribute to the ongoing redefinition of classical music programming and structures.
Ariel and Britt formed their duo after becoming co-winners of the Concert Artists Guild International Competition鈥檚 Ambassador Prize. In doing so, the duo quickly discovered their shared passion for post-genre and contemporary music, promoting systemic change, and centering equity and access in musical spaces 鈥 as well as a craving for soup dumplings and Starbucks, respectively. The duo鈥檚 recent tours take them to communities across North America, performing their 鈥淕enre-Fication鈥 program which explores the exciting, under-explored sound world of violin and percussion.
Vision Duo has attended the prestigious Avaloch Farm Music Institute as artists in residence, and performed for top presenters including the Phillips Collection, the Philharmonic Society of Orange County, and Dumbarton Concerts in Washington, D. C. The duo鈥檚 22-23 season includes debut concerts at the Krannert Center, the Chamber Music Society of Detroit, and the Fairmont Chamber Music Society, featuring our program, Electrovision鈥 a blending of acoustic, electronic, and multidisciplinary experiences for us and our audiences.
