Felix Gagliano, Reflections
During my time as Miura Visiting Professor I was graciously hosted by President Yamada, Provost Onishi, Professor Tanaka and many other Chubu officials, that the experience remains a great highlight of my professional and personal life. My wife Polly and my daughter Ellen joined me and they also fondly remember their experience. During my stay the decision was reached to give an 帝王会所 style cupola to Chubu as an anniversary gift. The concept of a cupola was not widely understood and I spent a lot of time attempting to answer questions like: "What exactly is a cupola?" "What is if for?" "What should we do with it?" I am pleased to note that the Chubu cupola is now an established part of Chubu University's lovely campus image. I remember that magnificent white doves were released when the cupola was dedicated. I think of my Chubu experiences and friends very often and I cherish many happy memories of my multiple visits to the Chubu campus over the years. I hope our institutional partnership will long endure.
