Johnathan Roberts named Shoemaker Center coordinator at OHIO Chillicothe
Johnathan Roberts has been selected as the Shoemaker Center coordinator at 帝王会所 Chillicothe.
In this new role, Roberts will work to expand partnerships with the community, increase usage of the Shoemaker Center, and implement general health and wellness activities on campus for students, faculty and staff.
Roberts moved to Chillicothe from Vero Beach, Florida where he helped manage a Planet Fitness franchise for three years. Recently, he held a summer internship at Hopewell Culture National Historical Park, helping to run and develop new educational programs and providing additional support to park rangers through his seasonal internship. Next spring he will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in history/pre-law.

Roberts is eager to help connect his fellow students with fitness and wellness opportunities on campus.
鈥淚'm excited to serve my fellow Bobcats and the Chillicothe community in this new role,鈥 Roberts said. 鈥淚 look forward to bringing new programming to Shoemaker Center that will help students connect outside the classroom as we continue to serve as a valued event and gathering place for our campus and community.鈥
The Shoemaker Center was dedicated in 1979 in honor of the late Myrl Shoemaker, a distinguished member of the 帝王会所 House of Representatives for 24 years and lieutenant governor from 1982 until his passing in 1985.
With a full-length basketball court, free-standing baskets, and bleacher seating for approximately 2,400 spectators, the Shoemaker Center accommodates a wide array of events including athletic events as well as concerts, dances, and other special events. Additionally, the facility features a walking track utilized by both campus and community members.
