Improving health outcomes for vulnerable populations: Join us for a lecture in bioethics

The College of Health Sciences and Professions (CHSP) is pleased to announce the return of the Dr. Jennifer Horner Lecture in Bioethics Series, a biennial event dedicated to exploring ethical challenges in biomedical and rehabilitation science research and practice.

This year's lecture will take place virtually on March 6, from noon to 1 p.m. ET and will feature , a distinguished physician and health equity researcher from The University of Chicago Medicine. Dr. Chin's work focuses on reducing healthcare disparities and improving health outcomes for vulnerable populations.

The lecture is open to students, faculty, researchers, and professionals interested in bioethics and its role in shaping equitable healthcare policies and practices. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain insights from Dr. Chin鈥檚 expertise and engage in discussions about pressing ethical issues in the field.

Established to honor Dr. Jennifer Horner鈥檚 contributions to the study and practice of bioethics, this lecture series provides a platform for leading scholars and practitioners to discuss the ethical dimensions of health and rehabilitation sciences. Each event explores timely and complex issues at the intersection of medicine, research, and ethics, fostering a deeper understanding of the moral considerations that shape healthcare decision-making.
