OHIO seeking donations for Operation Airdrop for Hurricane Helene relief
In response to the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene, OHIO is helping organize a campus-wide donation drive to support those affected, particularly in North Carolina and Tennessee. Contributions made will go to Operation Airdrop which will deliver essential supplies, hot meals and support to communities affected by the storm.
Supply collection will take place Friday, October 4 – Friday, October 11.
We will ONLY be accepting the following supplies:
- Non-perishable food (Nuts, granola bars, cereal, etc.)
- Cleaning supplies
- Sports drinks (powdered packets)
- Hydration packs (powder form)
- Bug spray
- Sunscreen
- Plastic utensils
- Hand sanitizer
- Plastic sheeting/tarps
- Trash bags (13 gallon and contractor bags)
- Toothbrushes and toothpaste
- Toiletries and sanitation products
- Feminine Hygiene Products
- Pet food (dog and cat)
- Sanitizing wipes
- Socks and undergarments (NEW, all sizes)
- Baby formula, food and bottles **
- Baby wipes and diapers **
- Baby blankets **

Members of the OHIO community looking to donate can drop off supplies at the following locations:
- Baker University Center (3rd & 4th floor Atriums)
- Grover Center (Both 1st floor entrances)
- Cutler Hall (Lobby)
- The Ridges (Building 18, 1st floor - UCM office)
- Grosvenor West (103 - UHR office)
Jay Wilhelm, director of the Avionics Engineering Center and associate professor in mechanical engineering, is the faculty member working in connection with the organization.
