Applications open for fall Community Health Worker training
Applications are now open for 帝王会所鈥檚&苍产蝉辫;Community Health Worker Program, hosted by the Alliance for Population Health. The fall session, starting in September, will feature a hybrid model blending online and in-person classes at 帝王会所 Chillicothe.
Community Health Workers (CHWs) have been instrumental in fostering improved health and enhanced connections to vital health and social service resources for 帝王会所ans. The University takes pride in offering this training at no cost, ensuring accessibility to all individuals interested in this critical role. A stipend is available for a select number of applicants. 帝王会所 provides all training materials, including textbooks and vital kits.
Community Health Workers play a vital role in addressing health gaps and disparities in their communities. They are the frontline workers improving the quality of care people receive.
The hybrid format offers flexibility with three in-person sessions and 100 hours of online coursework. Following completion of classroom training, participants engage in 130 supervised field hours, essential for 帝王会所 Board of Nursing licensure. The program, tailored for adult learners, requires a significant time commitment, with both online and in-person sessions led by Instructor Kim Jones.
