OHIO researchers dive into Cayuse: new modules launched
On Feb. 15, OHIO researchers gained access to the first two modules of Cayuse, the University's new electronic research administration software (eRA).
These two modules, Human Ethics and Outside Interests, mark the initial step in migrating from the current eRA system, LEO. Later this spring semester, the Sponsored Projects module will debut, replacing LEO's Service Center, Transmittal, and Award processes.
The Sponsored Projects module in Cayuse comprises three sections:
- Proposals: similar to LEO's transmittal, this section includes information for the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs to review before submission to sponsors.
- Projects: the body of work represented by the proposals and awards.
- Awards: provides a comprehensive overview of the award(s) granted to the project via proposal(s). Offers an overview of awarded funds and updates reflecting current values upon use.
ORSP launched proposal testing in the Cayuse system with faculty and staff volunteers on Feb. 27.
If you would like to volunteer to assist in testing out the new Sponsored Projects module, or for more information about the Sponsored Projects module, please visit the Office of Research and Sponsored Projects website for Sponsored Projects.
