OHIO’s Russ College named one of the ‘Best Graduate Schools’ in the country by U.S. News & World Report

’s Russ College of Engineering and Technology moved up 10 spots and had six programs ranked among the best in the nation in the 2023-2024 “Best Graduate Schools” rankings released on April 25 by U.S. News & World Report.

"I am grateful that the groundbreaking and impactful research of our faculty members in our centers and institutes is being recognized and acknowledged,” said Interim Dean of the Russ College of Engineering and Technology Dr. Maj Mirmirani. “I am also proud that our innovative, student-centered and hands-on curricula is attracting more top-tier students to our college, raising the profile and academic reputation of the college."

In addition to its increased national ranking (now 142nd in the country), U.S. News ranked six Russ College programs were ranked among the top in the nation:

The Russ College of Engineering and Technology offers a variety of graduate programs that provide students with the freedom to choose the program that best fits their personal and professional goals in their chosen discipline.

Additionally, as part of a leading research institution, Russ College graduate students are provided the opportunity to collaborate with accomplished faculty, who have both research and industry experience, on innovative projects. Students are also able to enhance their skills through curriculums that are designed to prepare them to lead in an engineering setting and create a lasting impact across the communities they serve.

U.S. News and World Report’s methodology for compiling rankings for business, education, engineering, law, medicine and nursing programs consisted of statistical surveys from 2,214 programs and reputation surveys sent to approximately 6,300 academics and 12,690 professionals that were conducted in fall 2022 and early 2023. Programs in the sciences, social sciences, humanities and health were based solely on ratings from academic experts.
