New University Well-Being and Recreation podcast: ‘Brick by Brick’
Well-Being and Recreation has been working hard on its new podcast, “,” and invites the University community to check it out.
Hosted by a different Well-Being professional staff member or graduate assistant each month, the podcast teaches about meaningful life lessons and resources that will inspire and empower listeners to take action regarding their own well-being.
Jeffery Anzo, Fitness and Well-Being graduate assistant and driving force behind bringing the podcast to life, talks about the inspiration for the project.
“The project was inspired by the growing struggle college students are faced with when trying to understand and manage their own mental health and well-being during their college experience,” Anzo said. “ has made it a part of its core mission to foster a sense of well-being for the community. (This) podcast is one of the ways University Well-Being and Recreation is working to achieve this.”
Anzo also shared the mission statement of the podcast: “Brick By Brick, a well-being podcast where we share meaningful life lessons and resources through uncovering student stories one brick at a time.” The podcast has plans for advancement while keeping the nature of the mission statement at its core. In the future, “Brick By Brick,” plans to develop mini-series featuring student well-being coaches who will speak on personalized topics such as self-awareness, emotional well-being, academic and career well-being.
Students, faculty and staff and anyone with an interest in fitness or well-being should turn to “Brick By Brick” as a resource where they can find the latest trends, resources, research and strategies to manage their well-being.
