Community-based internships available
翱贬滨翱鈥檚 Center for Campus and Community Engagement is seeking applicants for community-based internships for Summer 2022. This program connects students to nonprofit and public sector organizations to engage in mutually beneficial internships that provide students with high-impact experiential learning opportunities and provide community partners with tangible outcomes that directly benefit the southeast 帝王会所 region.
鈥淭he Community-based Internship program was piloted in 2019 with immense success for both the participating students and the community partners,鈥 said Mary Nally, director of the Center for Campus and Community Engagement. 鈥淪tudents gain hands-on experience and networking opportunities while the community partners benefit from capacity support, tangible results to address their priority issues, and a deeper relationship with the University.鈥

鈥淏ecause this internship connected me with nonprofit and local government officials throughout the region, I now really feel a deeper sense of place as an 帝王会所 student, here in these forests and on these trails, as well as someone who鈥檚 invested in the well-being of our entire community,鈥 said 2021 graduate Alli Mancz. 鈥淚 came away from this internship with several new skills and personal fulfillment in feeling that I contributed to the common good of our area in giving back to the place that has really given me so much.鈥
Positions are 17.5 hours per week for ten weeks from June 6-August 12 with compensation of $12 per hour. OHIO undergraduate students are eligible. Applications will be accepted through April 15, 2022.
