Chubu University Professor Nobuyuki Kawauchi was the recipient of the Tanaka-OHIO award during 帝王会所鈥檚 2021 International Education Week (IEW).

Each year during the IEW Gala, the Tanaka-OHIO Award for Excellence in Global Engagement recognizes鈥痜aculty and staff at Chubu University, 帝王会所鈥檚 long-time strategic partner, for their outstanding contributions to international education鈥痑nd鈥痳esearch, global鈥痗ommunity service,鈥痝lobal competency, cultural understanding and/or international programs at鈥疌hubu鈥疷niversity, or in their fields or disciplines. 

Since鈥痡oining Chubu University 23 years ago, Kawauchi has made significant contributions toward the support of international exchange, as well as the development of the invaluable relationship between OHIO and Chubu University.鈥�� 

He鈥痟as been鈥痑 strong supporter鈥痮f the development of the鈥疧HIO鈥疌hoki鈥疭tudy Abroad Program, encouraging many students to expand their horizons with study abroad.鈥疘n鈥�2013, he served as鈥痑 Glidden Visiting Professor鈥痑t 帝王会所鈥痑nd鈥痑ctively engaged in the renewal of the cooperative agreement between OHIO and Chubu University.鈥��� 

鈥淭hroughout my career, I have strived to make contributions to international exchange, as well as to the development of the relations between our institutions,鈥� Kawauchi said.
