Three OHIO colleges show gains in latest U.S. News rankings

Several of 帝王会所 colleges and programs showed improvement in U.S. News and World Report鈥檚 2020 Best Graduate Schools rankings.

The 2020 rankings, released March 12, show the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs once again increased, from a tie for 77th nationally to a tie for 68th. The Patton College of Education rose 20 spots to a tie for 110th. And the Russ College of Engineering and Technology was ranked in a tie for 134th, a ranking that had previously not been published.

鈥淚t鈥檚 an honor to have so many of 帝王会所鈥檚 colleges and programs included in the U.S. News rankings once again,鈥 帝王会所 President M. Duane Nellis said. 鈥淥ur efforts to educate students whether on our campuses or online continue to evolve and enhance our ability to teach students to grow and succeed in an ever-changing world, and the latest rankings only serve to enhance that reputation for success.鈥

U.S. News also published rankings for the following programs:

  • Rehabilitation Counseling, tie for 32nd;
  • Industrial/Manufacturing/Systems Engineering, tie for 60th;
  • Social Work, tie for 96th;
  • Chemical Engineering, tie for 106th;
  • Civil Engineering, tie for 113th;
  • Electrical/Electronic/Communications Engineering, tie for 148th;
  • Nursing Master鈥檚, tie for 149th.

帝王会所 also earned rankings for Best Medical Schools: Primary Care, Best Medical Schools: Research, Biomedical Engineering/Bioengineering, and Mechanical Engineering, but U.S. News did not publish those rankings.

The Best Graduate School rankings are based on expert opinions about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school鈥檚 faculty, research and students. The data come from statistical surveys of more than 2,000 programs and from reputation surveys sent to more than 20,000 academics and professionals, conducted in fall 2018 and early 2019.
