College of Arts and Sciences Dean Robert Frank to step down at end of Spring Semester

 

The following message has been shared on behalf of President M. Duane Nellis and Interim Executive Vice President and Provost Elizabeth Sayrs. 


Dr. Robert Frank has informed us today that he is stepping down from his role as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences for personal reasons effective at the end of the semester, May 11, 2018.

Dr. Frank joined µÛÍõ»áËù in 2012; during his tenure as dean, he expanded community engagement opportunities for students and faculty in the college and led the establishment of the college’s Curricular Themes and the college Scholars programs.

Following a sabbatical, Dr. Frank will return to his first love of teaching as a Professor of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences Department of Psychology in 2019.

Interim Executive Vice President and Provost Elizabeth Sayrs will announce a plan for interim leadership of the college by the end of the month. Plans for a national search to find a successor dean for the College of Arts and Sciences will also be announced at a later date.
