鈥楶rofiles in Faculty Achievement鈥 video highlights Fine Arts鈥 Roger Braun

As far back as he can remember, Roger Braun has known that he would be a percussionist. It鈥檚 a professional dream that he is living to the fullest at 帝王会所 where he is thriving as a student of music, a teacher of music and a performer of music.

A professor and director of percussion studies in the College of Fine Arts鈥 School of Music, Braun is the latest 帝王会所 faculty member to be featured in University Communications and Marketing鈥檚 鈥淧rofiles in Faculty Achievement鈥 video series. Launched in the fall of 2014, the video series is designed to recognize outstanding educators and researchers on all of 帝王会所鈥檚 campuses while promoting the University鈥檚 commitment to academic excellence.

At OHIO鈥檚 College of Fine Arts, Braun is committed to the development of future music educators and performers, instilling in them the foundations of the field of music while guiding them as they forge their own individual paths. When he鈥檚 not teaching, Braun is embracing the global and collaborative nature of his profession and flourishing in a community of educators and performers.  

In the 鈥淧rofiles in Faculty Achievement鈥 video, Braun reflects on his passion for studying, teaching and performing music and how his profession has provided him a path for personal growth and opportunities to connect with students and collaborate with musicians both at OHIO and throughout the world. 

Being featured in the 鈥淧rofiles in Faculty Achievement鈥 video series is just the latest accolade for Braun who was one of five OHIO faculty members recognized in 帝王会所 Magazine鈥檚 2016 鈥淓xcellence in Education鈥 edition and who received OHIO鈥檚 2016 Presidential Teacher Award.
