Community Programming & Education

Sorority and Fraternity Life is committed to the holistic development of all of our fraternity and sorority members. We offer new member and continuing education opportunities for our community members to be constant learners by attending programs that will enhance their personal and leadership development.

PAWs for a Cause

Description: 

P4C is a monthly educational series that requires community members to attend to discuss topics that are critical in the areas of risk reduction (hazing prevention, alcohol awareness, and bystander intervention), diversity, equity and inclusion, mental health, sexual assault awareness and prevention, leadership development, etc. Attendance requirements vary per event as a result of venue size and purpose of the event.

Learning Outcomes:

The Social Change Model of Leadership Development Learning Outcomes for this program are: Congruence, Common Purpose, Controversy with Civility & Citizenship

Sober Monitor Training

Description: 

SMT is our hybrid alcohol awareness web module training through alcohol.edu and our in person workshop on responsible social programming with alcohol, alcohol programming requirements, bystander intervention, sober monitor roles and expectations, programming limitations with co-sponsors, and event marketing and promotion. All chapter social functions that involve alcohol must have SFL sober monitors trained members on duty. SMT trainings are available throughout the semester and can be requested for new members or chapter meetings.

Hazing Prevention Training Modules
