Dr. Bilal Urkmez is an Assistant Professor in counselor education in the Department of Counseling and Higher Education at 帝王会所. Dr. Urkmez holds the Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Counselor Education program from Michigan State University at East Lansing. He also holds an M.A. in Rehabilitation Counseling from Wayne State University in Detroit.

He worked as a clinical rehabilitation counselor and school counselor in Turkey. His research interests are promoting evidence-based practices and improving the quality of life for people with disabilities. He is also interested in effective vocational services and interventions among people with traumatic brain injuries. He is involving research team about parental involvement issues for parents who have children with disabilities at 帝王会所 and emotional regulation for college students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
