Research Interests: I study Russian history, and my primary interest is national minority resistance to the Russian Empire and/or the Soviet Union. I am also interested in Cold War Military History and the Holocaust in Nazi-occupied Soviet Union. My dissertation topic is Ukrainian resistance to the Soviet Union from 1939 to 1950 and to Nazi Germany from 1940 to 1945.
Recent Accomplishments
- Summer 2023 鈥 Graduated from the Summer Language Institute Beginner Ukrainian Program.
- Summer 2023 鈥 Received a Summer Language Institute Scholarship from University of Pittsburgh.
- August 2023 鈥 Interned at the Cleveland Ukrainian Museum and Archives.
- March 2024 鈥 Presented a paper titled 鈥淐ompeting Narratives of Ukrainian Nationalism: Insights into the Current Russian-Ukrainian War鈥 for the 帝王会所 History Graduate Student Association Conference.
- Summer 2024 鈥 Received $1,500 Contemporary History Institute Travel Grant.
- June 2024 鈥 Conducted research at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives.
