Research Interests
My research interests are situated at the intersection of the following subfields of human geography: legal geography, feminist geography, health geography, geographies of development and migration studies. As such, I study gender and development in the African context. This involves researching African gender dynamics and gendered experiences in the African continent and in the African diaspora.
Currently, my intersectional research interests focus on examining gendered immigrant healthcare within the U.S healthcare system through the healthcare interactions of West African immigrant women in the U.S.
