Master of Accountancy and Analytics (MAcc) Courses

The Master of Accountancy and Analytics program at OHIO covers advanced accounting knowledge while also ensuring you gain the soft skills employers value, such as communication, problem-solving and teamwork. Whether you choose to pursue the MAcc online or on-campus, you'll focus on real-world business applications through case studies, live sessions, special events and group projects. At 帝王会所, key skills are woven throughout the MAcc program, allowing you to seamlessly apply what you learn from your first semester. 

In addition to the Core Accounting Courses, the MAcc program offers tracks based on the student鈥檚 undergraduate degree 鈥 Accounting Grad, Business Grad/Non-Accounting and Non-Business Grad/Non-Accounting. Prerequisite coursework will be determined based on your undergraduate major and previous coursework. Waivers are available based on your previous coursework. Please contact us to understand what additional courses are needed.

Curriculum Pathways

We offer multiple curriculum pathways based on your educational background. When you graduate, you'll have the essential technical and professional skills needed to succeed as a CPA or a leader in a variety of businesses.

  • Accounting Grad (30 credit hours)
  • Business Grad/Non-Accounting (42 credit hours)
  • Non-Business Grad (48 credit hours)

NEW 75% Lower Tuition Rate for Accounting Bridge Courses

New students enrolling in the online MAcc who hold a bachelor鈥檚 in a field other than accounting, can now take the鈥痜our鈥痯re-requisite accounting bridge courses at a 75% lower tuition rate* of just $243.25/credit (non-resident) and $238.50/credit (帝王会所 resident),鈥痑 savings of over $8,500 for all four courses.

Accounting Grad Pathway

For students with an undergraduate degree in accounting or its equivalent, the program curriculum is 30 credit hours. (Core Accounting Courses + Data Analytics Courses)

Core Accounting Courses

All students in the MAcc program must complete these seven Core Accounting Courses.

  • ACCT 6100 Advanced Managerial Decision Making (3 credits)
  • ACCT 6200 Advanced Auditing and Assurance Services (3 credits)
  • ACCT 6250 Forensic Accounting and Fraud Examination (3 credits)
  • ACCT 6300 Accounting Theory/Practice (3 credits)
  • ACCT 6400 Advanced Tax Planning and Strategy (3 credits)
  • ACCT 6500 Professional Ethics and Communication (3 credits)
  • ACCT 6800 Contemporary Topics in Accounting (Capstone) (3 credits)

Data Analytics Courses

Each student will complete three analytics courses as part of the degree program. Which courses you take may vary from this list based on availability and the term in which you start.

Business Grad/Non-Accounting Pathway

For students entering the MAcc with a non-accounting undergraduate business degree, the program curriculum is 42 credit hours. (Accounting Bridge Courses + Core Accounting Courses + Data Analytics Courses)

Accounting Bridge Courses

All students without an undergraduate accounting degree or equivalent must complete the following four courses:

  • MBA 6315 Accounting for Executives (3 credits)
  • ACCT 5010 Intermediate Accounting Concepts (3 credits)
  • ACCT 5020 Advanced Accounting Concepts I (3 credits)
  • ACCT 5030 Advanced Accounting Concepts II (3 credits)

General Business Courses

These two courses are required for students who do not hold an undergraduate degree in business or accounting.

  • MBA 6335 Managerial Finance (3 credits)
  • MBA 6370 Operations Management (3 credits)

Accounting Bridge Courses

All students without an undergraduate accounting degree or equivalent must complete the following four courses:

Please note that incentive scholarships cannot exceed 75% of the cost of each course.
