MBA Program
Students begin their graduate studies in 帝王会所鈥檚 One-Year MBA program. The MBA program is a lock-stepped, three-semester academic program consisting of 36 credit hours in accounting, finance, strategy, management, and marketing among other topics to give students a comprehensive understanding of core business concepts. The program focuses on career-applicable projects and helps students apply their skills through professional development seminars and networking trips.
MSA Program
Students simultaneously enter the sports administration portion of the program upon arrival on campus. The MSA program requires the completion of 36 credit hours. The required courses include Research Methods in Sports Administration, Law of Sports and a spring-quarter capstone course. The remaining credits come from elective courses such as:
- Sports & Consumers
- Sponsorship in Sports
- Facility Management
- Revenue Generation in Sports
- Athletic Fundraising
- Intercollegiate Athletics Governance
Many students also choose to take graduate-level courses outside of sports administration to enhance their skill sets, including Desktop Publishing, Coaching Education and Higher Education Administration.
The freedom to choose classes allows students to gain the knowledge they need to pursue their desired career. Students can choose to concentrate on sports management, journalism, marketing, facility and event management, or other specialties.
Learning also take places outside the classroom as students work on class projects, such as the program鈥檚 annual alumni symposium and Race for a Reason, an annual fundraising event featuring a 5K run, mud run and triathlon. In recent years, students have also interned at the Baseball Winter Meetings, the Super Bowl, the Orange Bowl, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the US Tennis Clay Court Championships, and the NCAA Soccer Championships.
MSA Exclusive
Prospective students with a previous graduate degree, such as law, business or other approved graduate degree, or students with significant industry-related experience may be considered for the one-year MSA program. The MSA exclusive requires the completion of 36 credit hours. Individual programs can be tailored to each student鈥檚 needs, experience and career goals. Courses are chosen from the same sports administration offerings as the dual-degree seeking students, in addition to outside electives.
